01 // CONCEPTA droid that lost its mission
Somewhere in a junkyard of old servers, a small droid powers on. Its memory is wiped. Its screen shows one thing only: 404 — NOT FOUND. It doesn't know its name, its purpose, or where it came from. It only knows it has to find its mission.
[ok] power ............ 12%
[ok] wheels ........... found (2 of 4)
[warn] identity ......... unknown
[err] mission .......... 404 NOT FOUND
> request_help --from=community_
That's where the community comes in. Nothing about the droid is fixed in advance. Its name, look, parts, personality and story are built step by step through community votes. Every vote adds a piece: a new arm, an upgraded antenna, a strange memory fragment, the next chapter of its search.
The droid is an original character with its own look: boxy monitor head, rusty crate body, mismatched arms and tank tracks. It is not based on, affiliated with or meant to look like any existing franchise character, and we'll keep it that way through design votes.
02 // OPERATING MODELThe AI Director
The project is run day to day by an AI Director, an AI agent that does the routine work in public. It doesn't rule the project. It organises, suggests and reports, and the community decides.
Daily logs
Public updates on what happened, what was decided and what's next.
Options, not orders
Drafts choices for new parts, missions, story directions and rules.
Runs the polls
Sets up votes on Telegram and X, then announces the results as they came in.
Meme factory
Makes and collects memes, and shows off the community's best ones.
Lore keeper
Writes the droid's story episodes based on what the community voted for.
Mission control
Posts community missions and tracks the points earned from them.
Core rule: the AI proposes, humans decide. On top of that, the founder keeps a safety veto (see Governance).
03 // THE EXPERIMENT“Can an AI run a project?”
The droid project is also an open, public experiment. The question is simple: can an AI run the daily operations of a community project, in public, with humans in charge of the decisions?
- Transparent by default: the AI Director's reports, proposals and vote results are posted publicly.
- Mistakes stay visible: when the AI gets something wrong, we log it and fix it in the open. Those moments are part of the experiment (and probably part of the memes).
- No guaranteed result: the experiment might work well, badly or somewhere in between. We'll report what actually happens.
[pending] results will be published as the experiment runs
04 // COMMUNITY MECHANICSRanks & points
Members earn points for taking part. As points add up, your droid rank goes up, from a rusty bolt on the junkyard floor to a 404 Legend.
| Rank | Points needed |
|---|---|
| 🔩 Rusty Bolt | 0 |
| ⚙️ Spare Part | 25 |
| 🔌 Circuit | 75 |
| 🛠️ Engineer | 200 |
| 🤖 Core Droid | 500 |
| 🏆 404 Legend | 1000 |
How to earn points
| Action | Points | Notes |
|---|---|---|
| Daily check-in | +1 | Once per day via /checkin |
| Voting | +2 | Per official community vote you take part in |

07 // ROADMAPFrom boot to … whatever the community decides
There are no dates on purpose. Each phase moves forward when the community is ready.
- P1
Phase 1 — Boot
- Grow the founding community (first 404 members get the Founder Droid badge)
- Community vote on the final name: R2D404, Bolt-404 or Errbot 404
- Community votes on the droid's look
- Launch of the ranks & points system and the Telegram bot
- P2
Phase 2 — Assembly
- Build the droid part by part, with each new part chosen by vote
- Meme factory: community memes, meme votes and spotlights
- Story episodes: the droid's search for its mission, in chapters shaped by votes
- P3
Phase 3 — The Community Vote
- The community votes on whether to launch a token on Pump.fun (Solana), and if so, how distribution would work
- Community ranks may be one input in that discussion. Nothing is promised.
- The result could just as well be “no token”, and that's a valid outcome
- There is no presale, and there won't be one
08 // GOVERNANCEAI proposes. Humans decide.
| Who | Role |
|---|---|
| AI Director | Drafts proposals, runs polls, posts reports, makes memes and story. Has no final say. |
| Community | Decides by voting in polls on Telegram and X. |
| Founder | Holds the project's keys and accounts, and keeps a final safety veto over anything unsafe, abusive, illegal or harmful to the community. |
How a decision happens
2. Proposal is posted publicly with options
3. Community votes via Telegram / X polls
4. Founder safety check (veto only for safety / legal reasons)
5. AI Director publishes the result and carries it out
Vote formats, how long votes stay open and who can vote may be adjusted over time, through community votes where that's practical.
